i need to find a better way to clean up the hard ammonia that's been building up on the bottom of my hamster cages... is there an alternative to scrubbing the stuff out?

I'm getting ready to buy a hamster, and I want it to feel "at home" I want to know what kind of hamster cage is the best plastic, wire, or a fish tank?

I dont want to put her in an aquarium because she likes climbing the cage and aquariums dont have good ventilation. she escapes from the cage i have now (just a plain hamster cage, square, about 1/3 inch bar space or maybe 1/2).
I also have 3 babies that live with her, well now they are 2 weeks old and im gonna need something to put them into. I think ill put them in my aquarium i have but what bedding do i use..now i have pine i think....is it ok to switch the type of bedding????
ok so in conclusion:
1. whats a good DWARF hamster cage that she wont escape from and doesnt have a bajillion tunnels to clean??? (as plain as possible with little room between wires would be awesome)
2. what bedding should i use for my babies when i change them to an aquarium???
just give me some pics or where to find it please. ive already looked at petco and petsmart they only had those cages with a ton of tubes and crap. pleaseeeeee help mee =]

Sorry, I probably could have been more clear on that, but I only get a limited amount of letters.
I have a glass hamster cage that has 2 holes for tubes to go through, but I can't find any wired cages that have it. It has to have horizontal bars and be big enough for 2 hamsters. (Yeah, I know hamsters are loners, but I know how to get them to get along)
